A new Limited trim level has been added, featuring leather seating, automatic climate control and a trip computer. The GLS gets an auto-dimming rearview mirror, and Limited models can be equipped with an all-black monochromatic color scheme.

Pros:

Driven 100000 plus miles on it already and planning to drive another 100000 on it for another 5 years. It drives good in Michigan road in winter on a virgin snow of up to 4 inches.

Claim on the window was 17 intown to 23 on highway. I have yet to reach 17 either place.. This is the second Hyundai I have bought new, and love both vehicles, just this one has poor poor mileage....

The vehicle is comfortable but has limited driver leg room. The power seat adjustment seems limited and hard to stay comfortable on any trip longer than an hour. Dont expect great gas mileage - 22 hwy with air. City about 16-17. 2200 rpm at 70 mph. Stereo, trip computer, heated seats are very good. Traction is very nice - you feel very safe even during rain. Rear cargo area is well designed and the sun shade works well - A/C is extremely good and cools the car quickly - Temp control could be more user friendly - Nice acceleration and good braking - Overall the car is a good value for $20k - $25k but if I had to do it all over again, Id probably purchase the Tucson - more bells and whistle

  • Great Buy for the Money - 2006 Hyundai Santa Fe

I bought this vehicle a commuter car. This is my 1st Hyundai and I was a bit skeptical, however Ive been very impressed. The fuel economy could be better, but its fine even with todays prices. Love the layout of the cabin and the drive; and thats saying a lot since my other vehicle is a 05 Acura. The power is good, even in the Utah Mountains. The only 2 downs are the drivers side can be a little tight and the pedals are close together. I think the 2.7L engine is a little weak for my mountains, but was fine in the city during the test drive. Overall a great value for the money and a good low cost alternative to Toyota and Honda.

  • Great Overall Vehicle! - 2006 Hyundai Santa Fe

I think the vehicle is great in almost every respect. The only problems are gas milage and the initial quickness off the line for this type of vehicle. If you like to launch off the line when the light turns green, you know what I mean. The midrange acceleration is quite good though. It is great for passing on the freeway etc. Overall, this baby has a lot more pep than I expected from a V6. It handles like a car and yet it has pretty good ground clearance for taking camping trips. This is also where the roof rack comes in handy. God for your tents, chairs, sleeping bags, etc.

I just purchased a used Hyundai Santa Fe limited with 4WD and the 3.5 V^. It is fully loaded from leather seats to heated seats and moon roof and 6 disc changer. So far I love the ride even though it is used still drives like a new vehicle.

Great car, have owned a 2002 Santa Fe and it has virtually no mechanical problems. Everything has held up and the gas milage has been affordable with 19 city 25-28 highway at 80mph. My 2006 is virtually the same for all practical purposes.. I will probably keep buying the Santa Fe as it fits my budget and lifestyle perfectly.. the 2007s are quite a step up and reflect that in their exterior styling and interior.. only dislike about the 2006 and unfortunately the 2007 is the interior colors.. two colors to choose from and I dislike them both. My 2002 had a dark grey interior which was very easy to keep clean with our orange dog inside ( Vizsla ).
